Taxes

Purchases are subject to tex depending on your region.

​Returns / Cancellations

Unfortunately, DDF cannot accept returns or cancellations. All items are final sale and are non-refundable 24 hours after the individual has purchased the pre-order.

However, we do accept replacement requests if an item is defective (not damage incurred from shipping, please contact DDF for next steps). 

Replacements/refunds and/or discount codes will be determined on a case by case basis. Replacements on verified damaged/defective items are unavailable for items more than 5 days after delivery.

Damaged/Defective Items

If you would like to inquire about a potentially damaged/defective item, please reach out to us at dirtydiction.fiction@gmail.com. Please include photos of the item, the shipping container it arrived in (internal and external), and your order number. DDF will get back to you within 5-7 business days, about whether the item(s) qualify for a replacement/refund. This will be on a case by case basis.

Slipcases

Slipcases, while gorgeously designed, are for protective purposes only. There are no replacements or refunds for slipcases.

Items marked Missing and/or Lost Items

Prior to sending us an email, please check the status of the package with the tracking number, look around your property and post office/mailbox, and check with your neighbours. If you still cannot locate your package, please reach out to the appropriate postal service with your tracking number before sending an email to DDF.

If they can't locate it then please email dirtydiction.fiction@gmail.com and we will start the investigation. 

A refund or store credit will be provided upon official (deemed by post service) missing packages if a replacement is not possible.

Additionally, if packages repeatedly become lost or missing, then eligibility to sending orders to that address, at a point determined by DDF, may be cut off. Please double-check your shipping information is correct. 

Forwarding Services

No replacements or refunds will be provided for lost or items marked as delivered to the company but cannot be located that are sent to/through forwarding companies.

DDF will open an investigation with the local post office upon missing or damaged items marked as delivered.

This clause does not pertain to parcels deemed lost during transit before arriving.  

Marked as delivered to correct address but cannot find item

We can start an investigation with the postal service to inquire on what happened. Next steps will vary as per what the findings are. 

 

​Shipping Address Change

Please email DDF as soon as possible at dirtydiction.fiction@gmail.com if you require an address change, before your label has been created and package fulfilled. DDF cannot guarantee an address change but we will do our very best to change it before your label has been printed. If your label has already been printed or your order has already been shipped please contact DDF.

As a possible step, if your label has been printed but your package has not been shipped out yet and is accessible, you may be able to purchase an additional shipping label to be swapped on your package. 

​Parcel Sent to wrong address due to error on customer end:

If a package is sent to the address listed on the order but it is not current/the one you intended, and it does not get returned to sender at DDF, then unfortunately it is out of our hands and DDF is not responsible for any loss of product, return costs, or fees. But if package is sent to wrong address and is returned to DDF then please contact us for next steps. 

Customer will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Refunds will not be offered for orders returned under this condition.

​Return to Sender:

If your package is sent to the address listed on your order and then ends up back at DDF HQ via Return to Sender then the customer will be responsible for the charges incurred as well as the shipping back to the customer. 

Duties/Customs

Customers are responsible for any fees that may incur upon parcel arrival. 

If your order is returned to DDF for failure to pay duties/taxes, the customer will be responsible for the cost of reshipment. Refunds will not be offered for orders returned under this condition.

Where does DDF ship to?

Currently only to these select regions/countries: Canada, USA, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.  For countries outside of those listed, it is possible an international forwarding service may be of use. 

​Can I buy more than one book/set at a time?

As of now, it is one set per customer for all DDF boxes. Orders with multiples will be refunded. 

​Flippers

Special Editions are for the lovers of books. Not for the cruel intentions of reselling at heavily inflated prices the moment it is in hand. If customers are found to be exercising this poor practice they will be barred from purchasing at DDF. 

Giveaways​

Items won in giveaways are not to be resold. If winners are found to be flipping these items then they will be barred from winning future giveaways.
